Ingredients
For the matcha base
-
2 tsp matcha powder
-
2 oz (60 ml) warm water
-
8 oz (240 ml) oat milk
-
1 pump vanilla syrup
-
1 pump white chocolate sauce
-
Ice
For the banana pudding foam
-
3 tbsp heavy whipping cream
-
2 tbsp milk
-
1 tbsp banana syrup
or -
1/4 of a very ripe banana, blended until smooth
Optional topping
-
Crushed vanilla wafer cookies
Instructions
1. Prepare the matcha base
Whisk or shake the matcha powder with warm water until smooth. Stir in the oat milk, vanilla syrup, and white chocolate sauce.
2. Make the banana pudding foam
In a small container, combine the heavy whipping cream, milk, and banana syrup, or use thoroughly blended ripe banana. Use an electric milk frother to whip for 15 to 20 seconds until thick, creamy, and pudding-like.
3. Assemble the drink
Fill a serving glass with ice, then pour in the matcha mixture. Gently top with the banana pudding foam.
4. Finish and serve
Sprinkle with crushed vanilla wafer cookies for a classic banana pudding-inspired finish, then enjoy immediately.
Pro Tip
If you use real banana instead of banana syrup, blend it very thoroughly before adding it to the foam mixture. This helps keep the texture smooth and prevents small pieces from clogging your milk frother.
